Children's Religious Formation Registration is now available for Sacrament Preparation and ongoing formation.  Please click here to register

First communion preparation: 3 year program; children must be at least in the 1st grade.  Copy of Baptism certificate is required. 

Confirmation classes: two year program; students must be in the the 9th grade to begin.  Copy of Baptism and First communion certificates are required.  Fee is $50 for one child; $70 for two children and $90 for three or more children.

Kindergarten through 8th grade classes:

 

                Mondays:           4:30-5:30 p.m.          

                Tuesdays:          5:30-6:30 p.m. (no K)

 

Sacrament Preparation for grades 1 through High School:

 

                Wednesdays:     5:30-6:30 p.m.

 

Wednesday classes include preparation for First Eucharist for all grade levels (only Spanish classes for 1st-3rd grades).

 

First Communion preparation is a 3-year program, usually starting in the 1st grade.  Children prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Penance) and make their first confession in spring of the 3rd year of preparation.  First Holy Communion is celebrated at the end of the 3rd year.

In order to receive 1st Holy Communion, the child must have completed three consecutive years of sacramental preparation classes.  Parents must also attend scheduled formation sessions. 

 

RCIA for Children:

 

                Sundays:           10:00 a.m.  - 12:00 p.m.

 

These classes provide instruction to children over the age of 7 who have not received the Sacrament of Baptism.  This is a three-year program.

 

Confirmation Classes:

 

                Sundays:           2:30 - 4:00 p.m.

Confirmation Preparation starts in the 9th grade. Students are required to complete two (2) consecutive years of instruction. 

 

In addition to class attendance, a one-day retreat is required as part of the preparation each year, as well as participation in community service projects.  Parents and sponsors must also attend scheduled formation sessions.
